Fostering Sunday

Every year in May we hold Fostering Sunday, where we encourage churches across the area to dedicate part or all of their Sunday Service to think about fostering.

Fostering Sunday 2025

Rebuilding Walls and Restoring Homes

Some of you will rebuild the deserted ruins of your cities. Then you will be known as a rebuilder of walls and a restorer of homes.

Isaiah 58:12 NLT

Though most churches hold fostering Sunday in May, it is still not too late for your church to get involved for 2025 . You could book a speaker to do your sermon, or to share a testimony or give a notice. Alternatively you could run your own Fostering Sunday, showing the video and ordering a resource pack to run an information stand.

To get involved please contact us.

It was a pleasure for us to have a 100 Homes speaker in our Sunday meeting this year on Fostering Sunday.  She speaks with passion and deep understanding of God’s heart on the issue caring for children/young people who find themselves needing a home.  As a church, we want to play our part in supporting fostering families in our congregation.  We also want our church to be a healthy place for foster children to grow up.  If you want to inspire and challenge your church to consider fostering then invite 100 Homes to come! They are brilliant!

Fostering Sunday 2024

Is there space at your table?

In 2024 we explored the theme of hospitality, loving the stranger, asking the question “Is there space at your table?”

Fostering Sunday 2023

Our Father in Heaven

In 2023 we thought about the Lord’s prayer, and how the coming kingdom might impact the care system, and how the Father’s love might expressed through fostering.

Fostering Sunday 2022

Pyjamas

In 2022 we thought about feeling at home, comfy and cosy in a pair of snuggly pyjamas, and how we might be able to offer that feeling, experience and place of safety to children and young people in the care system.
