Support for foster carers

100 Homes offers support for foster carers. We will provide you with a buddy through the application and assessment process. When you are approved and start your fostering journey, we have a WhatsApp prayer and support group and regular meet-ups.

We can also connect you with other support groups that meet in City and County.

Could you support a foster carer?

MANY people could support existing foster carers as they carry out their incredibly challenging and rewarding role by offering to babysit, taking the kids out for the day, and helping practically round their home.

If you have a foster carer in your church, or in your community, please consider asking them the best way you could support them in fulfilling their valuable calling.

Please recognise that foster caring is a demanding a difficult role that may effect their ability to get involved in other church event or volunteering, and foster carers will need your understanding, prayer and care.

It’s other foster carers from 100 Homes who have been there to give advice, cry on, have a quick (or long) phone call, run things past, ‘get it’; share resources and recommendations, listen when things are tricky, provide last minute day care. All these things are so needed and have been so essential to us when fostering.
